Come along on Saturday 20th March at 1pm for a private guided walk of Southwark!
We will be exploring Southwark, discovering it's colourful past of high spirits and low life! Walk the streets and alleys known to Shakespeare and Dickens, a place of booze, bishops and brothels. Visit the site of the original Globe theatre and last galleried inn in London and discover another meaning for the word stew!
The walk is £7 per person and lasts about 2 hours (the walk finishes at London Bridge station).
We will be meeting up London Bridge Tube Station, inside the station, near the ticket barriers. The station is very busy, so head for the 'Tooley Street exit' and we will be waiting under the 'Tooley Street exit sign'.
Afterwards, we will be heading to a local pub or cafe for a chat over a drink.
“ What a loveley afternoon with such nice folks! Our charming tour guide showed us hidden places and knew interesting legends of the past - and finaly a historic pub to rest the feet. Thanks Robert for organizing (on your photos it doesn't look like rain ;-). Looking foreward to joy the next meet-ups! ”
