London Bridge Train Station (map)
Come along on Saturday 31st July at 12:30pm to visit the fantastic Dulwich Picture Gallery in South London!
About the gallery
The gallery opened in 1817 and houses one of the world's most important collections of European old master paintings of the 1600s and 1700's.
The paintings are housed in the first purpose-built art gallery in England, designed by Sir John Soane in 1811.
It includes paintings by Dutch painters Cuyp, van Huysum and Rembrandt, paintings by English painters Gainsborough, Hogarth, Landseer and Constable, plus Italian painters Canaletto and Carracci.
Entry to the gallery, plus a private tour for the group of the paintings is £10 each, payable on the day.
We will be meeting up at London Bridge Train Station, outside the shop WH Smith, lookout for the 'Cultureseeker Group' sign. The gallery is situated at near North Dulwich station which is in zone 3.
Afterwards we can either go to the cafe in the gallery or walk into Dulwich Village for a drink & snack.
If you can't see us, please call.
Hope to see you there
Regards

I enjoyed the Dulwich Picture Gallery and meeting, and speaking to people I haven't met before. Cycling down there and back was great exercise for me. I look forward to attending other days out with this group. Thanks Rob for organising everything.
For those that don't come this way that often....you might be interested in this http://collections.horniman.ac.uk/
It is a natural history museum about a 20 minute walk away that has an aqurium and really pretty gardens. It says Forest Hill but is in East Dulwich.
I would recommend this as an add on to the trip.
