Come along on Saturday 14th August for a day trip to the birthplace of Shakespeare; Stratford-upon-Avon!
We will be meeting up at Marylebone train station at 8:30am. The train journey is about 2 hours.
About Stratford
Stratford-upon-Avon is a small market town set on the River Avon and it was where in 1564, William Shakespeare was born. He is also buried in the town at Holy Trinity Church which we will be visiting.
The house where Shakespeare lived after he was married is now a museum. Also in Stratford, he met his future wife; Anne Hathaway and they were married there in 1582.
When we get to Stratford, we will be having a private guided walk from a local tour guide, the cost is £7 each. After we stop in a local pub for some lunch, we will visit Shakespeare's house and Anne Hathaway's house.
Train tickets are £18.50 each, although we should be able to get a half price discount. We will be meeting outside the shop WH Smith on the concourse at Marylebone train station.
If you can't see us at the station, plase call.
Hope to see you there!
