Proms In The Park

Come along on Saturday 11th September, meeting up at 3:30pm for Proms In The Park!

Having been the last 2 years, it's a fantastic night out!

The live event in Hyde Park will feature the singers: Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Jose Carreras with special guest Neil Sedaka. Also featuring will be Queen guitarist Brian May, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Abba tribute band Bjorn Again and the cast of the show Jersey Boys.

The gates open at 4pm. The entertainment starts at 5:30pm and it finishes at 10:30pm with a live screen linkup to the Royal Albert Hall and a fireworks display.

Tickets are £30 each, to book, click here...

We will be meeting up at Marble Arch tube station, near the ticket barriers at 3:30pm, if you can't see us, give me a call.

Food and drink is available to buy at the event, but it can be expensive, so it's best to bring your own. Also, having been the last two years, it can get a bit nippy when it gets dark, so it's probably best to bring a coat.

Hope to see you there!

Regards

Hi Robert et al....silly question,.... is it brin your own picnic rug or chair or is it seated?
AND...... are we allowed to bring our own wine/champagne/pimms etc? Checked out the picnic basket option but thought £60 for two was a little steep, even if I do manage to find someone to share it with !! Thank you, Paula

Hi, Everyone will be sitting on the grass, so it's best to bring a rug. It's o.k to bring wine, champagne, beer etc, but best to bring it in plastic bottles, as they might confiscate any glass bottles on entry.

Some people, you can see go every year and they bring their picnic baskets and everything else except the kitchen sink!

Don't forget to bring a british flag to wave! (there is lots of that at the end), if you don't have one, you can buy one at the tube station on the day.

Very enjoyable day out. Robert got in early to secure us all a good patch to which we all had great views.

It was a great experience; however, I thought there would be more classical music. I still enjoyed it though. As for the organizers, Robert and Ruthy, they were amazing - getting us together and keeping a great spot for the group.
