Very good undiscovered museum and the War Horse exhibition was excellent. Watching the brilliant War Horse at the cinema in the evening made a fitting end to the day.

I arrived 45 minutes late to the tube station, but walked along to the museum anyway. Confident I would eventually find someone, I did, got a map to the pub, and made some new friends! Really enjoyed visiting a museum I wouldn't have visited on my own.

I concentrated on the new exhibition War Horse which was well presented and did not look much at other exhibits having seen them not long ago. There was a good after meeting pub chat. Thanks to Robert for the great organisation.

Excellent exhibition with some wonderful Frith paintings depicting London life at the time. Good to be introduced to the Museum of London, which I hadn't known about before.

It was quite good but would have liked to have had more i formation about Dickens and his life. Also thought the file which showed Lodern London with words from Dickens would have been more enjoyable if it had actually portrayed the London of Dickens' time.

Unfortunately the style of presenting was very stiff. Once we got to the Q&A it became more relaxed and informative and we could see that Robert was very knowledgeable. Sorry to be so picky, but I'm also very uncomfortable when grammatical errors (mostly mis-placed apostrophes) are projected in large type. For me, it undermines credibility.

It was good fun doing it and it took many hours to produce the presentation. The sessions are meant to Improve Your Knowledge of a period of British history, so those people who have an advanced knowledge of various periods may not learn much. The sessions also give us the added bonus of being able to get your hands on objects made by and used by people that lived in each period. We were delayed in starting due to latecomers, a few IT issues and trying to source more chairs. We only had the room until 8:30pm, so I had to rush through the presentation and couldn't talk more on each point, which I was hoping to do. For the future sessions, we will have to cap the attendance and we will also be meeting at the venue, rather than the tube station.

It was OK although I was expecting it to be a little more in-depth. Probably better for those with no previous knowledge of London history as the content was pretty basis stuff. The waiting time was frustrating. I'm sure this was just teething problems as this was the first of the 6 meet-ups and I think the sheer numbers who turned up took the organisers by surprise. Would also have liked a quick announcement about heading the pub after for those who were interested and some directions given. Having said that well done to Robert for organising this and I shall still be giving the next one a go as it was still a nice evening.

Well prepared and well presented lecture. Good general knowledge, enough to whet the appetites for those who wish to know more. It would have been 5 stars if it had started on time! Teething issues only I'm sure.

Thank you so much, Robert, for organizing everything and your presentation! The possibility to touch a 2000 years old objects was just an ice on a cake and really mind blowing. The staff of the Museum of London’s Archaeology was most helpful and knowledgeable! I look forward to the next Improve Your Knowledge session!

I enjoyed the experience and learned quite a bit about the Romans. Could have been 20 minutes longer and a little more indepth. It was great to chat with the Group in the pub.

Ok, arrived at Old Street at 6.20pm and eventually paid after about 15mins in the queue, payment ahead of time is the way forward and simply say no refunds if you do not show. We waited until around 6.50pm to leave the station and arrived at the venue at about 7pm. Waited another 30 mins to start and during the 30mins presentation there was a bleeping sound in the background which was apparently to do with doors being left open (asked the guy at the desk on leaving). Presentation consisted of simply being read bullet points on the screen, slightly disappointing to be honest. I have attended 2 walks from this group so far and they were good, this was I think the first presentation type of event and for me I will think carefully before attending any others. Sorry if this is not what you want to hear, but just trying to give honest feedback. Others, I am sure, will have different comments.

I love the subject and look forward to attending all of them....hanging out in the subway for over an hour while everyone attending was processed was not so great...maybe there is another way to assemble and pay...I cannot think of one off the top of my head at the moment.( for example I am already considering not arriving "on time" because then have to wait so long) ..also, I think more images in the presentation would be really interesting...a powerpoint presentation where the presenter simply reads the text already imageable for the audience is far less interesting than explication in addition to images....I would also like to see more images of evidence of these different layers of civilization and culture as they exist within the city of London's built environment ( I am a landscape architect)...that could be fascinating to me...and maybe to others? ..but all in all very enjoyable and informative. thank you!
